England Have Become Better At LOI Cricket
And here’s proof of it:
Everybody’s writing about the incredible English limited overs game turnaround, and my team for the 4th match shows just how much the team’s turned around since last year.
My team last year for the NatWest Series was almost entirely yellow except for Eoin Morgan here and a Graeme Swann there. I had Nathan Hauritz in my team for god’s sake. Now, the whole field is freakin blue!
Even Steven Smith and Josh Hazlewood are in the team purely because of budgetary limitations. And I’m seriously considering ditching Cameron White for Andrew Strauss. Bollinger stays because of the Chennai Super Kings connection.
Meanwhile everyone from the England team chips in for their wins. Bresnan, Broad, Wright and Yardy have all made their bits and pieces skills count. Which is why I’ve picked most of them. I’d pick Ian Bell if he were playing.
Unlike the (currently) overpriced Oztrayan options. One guy out of 5 fires every match. This is not Russian Roulette dammit! Where are the cheap, well performing options like David Hussey & Adam Voges?
So, cheers to England’s UK’s national squad, the cricket team which has done decently well for itself in the past year with ODI series wins in the West Indies and South Africa and reaching the semi finals of the Champions Trophy.
*Shane Watson remains trump player though. Say what you want but the bugger is pretty consistent.
