Both teams got slapped around on Saturday. Rajasthan manage to land a few back on Chennai; for a while it seemed that they would pull off  a win when Shane Watson was at the crease before Bollinger shut them out decisively.

For the second time in a week, Mumbai fought their way to a good total after Deccan got the better of them earlier. In DC’s defense, this time it was a quality cricketer who rescued Mumbai. Deccan then collapsed in a heap of rubbish as none of their batsmen could get going. Mumbai’s bowling was too good with Ryan McLaren at 2-28 being the most expensive bowler and fetched them a comprehensive 63 run win.

Shane Watson’s return gives the Royals the upper hand over the Chargers in the clash of the two previous title holders tonight. Deccan’s bowling needs that extra to finish games successfully and their batting order too needs tweaking with Rohit Sharma and Andrew Symonds exchanging their current positions.

Deccan’s sinking pretty fast and a win tonight will only help them stay afloat at no. 7 in the table. Rajasthan need to wipe out that deficit in their run rate the loss to CSK left them with and this win will also take them back to the top four in the table.

The last time these two sides met, Warne deliberately played Sumit Narwal knowing that Glichrist likes to use the pace of the ball to dispatch it beyond the boundaries. Narwal’s lack of pace saw Gilchrist hit one in a safe zone where he was caught safely. Gilchrist hasn’t been able to get much of a start in the past few weeks and DC will be looking for inspiration right from the start from him because their bowling’s certainly not going to do it.

Advantage: Rajasthan Royals
