Are You Not Entertained?

March 27, 2010

What a bad time!
After steady old Kallis failed me in the earlier round, I kept him but did not make him my trump this time. He failed again. Manish Pandey got out yet again for a sub 50 score despite having settled in for an easy 80+. Anil Kumble got hit for a lot in the match I picked him for.
KKR woke up and smell other overwhelming talent that needed to play. Brad Hodge was dropped. CSK decided to chop and change since their game wasn’t winning them any matches. They dropped Ashwin. Huge hearted Hayden liked to settle in before generously giving away his wicket but only after he obliged his bat sponsors first by calling out for the Mongoose Bat.

Delhi thankfully had to not rely on David Warner. Because he does not stick beyond 5 overs in T20s.
Andrew Symonds and Adam Gilchrist failed together this time to score runs, effect dismissals and generally just play well. An Englishman took apart their best bowling. Yusuf Pathan chose the match to suddenly bring out his A Game and in doing so, denied my player Adam Voges the chance to even come out and play.
Ravi Bopara got a 2 ball duck. The most consistent Kings XI fool got a 2 ball duck. Priceless.
Lasith Malinga got early wickets with crazy horizontal action whippy bowling. The batsmen shut the thinking out of their heads and proceeded to wallop him fruitfully in the end.
Ray of hope? The shining light when all else fcking failed and therefor failed FCKing?
Who else but …..Sachin.
